Aside

Designer: Roksanda Ilincic (I love jumpers but most of the ones I saw on celebs or in stores were last year were either too boring or unflattering. I think Rooney’s is elegant and fun it’s too bad her stylist/wardrobe person forgot the starch! Also, I would have opted for a much higher heel the pants are dragging a bit. The cutest part about this jumper? The twist halter. Extra points for the high waist and cut outs!)

I have become a huge fan of Rooney Mara’s red carpet style while promoting “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”.  Some fashion commentators have criticized her for constantly wearing the same type of looks, (ie; gothic inspired, cut outs, black and neutrals) but I think she pulls off every outfit and looks absolutely stunning while doing so and her minimalist makeup and jewelry suit her edgy style to a T. Below are some of my favorite Rooney Mara/Dragon Tattoo looks from 2011 and one look from 2012: a gorgeous black Nina Ricci gown that she wore to the Golden Globes and surprise, surprise cut outs included!

Hands down she has definitely been the most original fashionista of 2011.

Designer: Rodarte by Opening Ceremony (Many people hated this dress and said all kinds of catty things about it on the internet but I loved it. Personally, I don’t have the body type to pull it off but Rooney does and she looks adorable. Can’t say the same about the bangs though. Meow!)

Designer: Prabal Gurung (My personal favorite)

Designer Dion Lee

Designer: Dion Lee (Leather, cut outs and an A- Line skirt: fab combo.)

Designer: Miu Miu (Great outfit but the makeup needs help. A bold red lip woud have made all the difference.)

Designer: Michael Kors (Dominatrix alert! More cut outs, more leather more black. The headband looks too cute and really complements the dress. I like her take on the dress much better than the model’s, which is pretty blah.)

Designer: Donna Karan (Another awesome jumpsuit. I want one like this it’s too cute!)

Designer: Givenchy (She looks ike an ethereal flapper, and now her cut outs are in white lol!.

Designer: Nina Ricci (2012 Golen Globes. I would have worn the gloves, either way another fab choice from Ms. Mara)

Red Carpet Knockout of 2011: Rooney Mara
